I use two compatibility settings - Win XP sp2, and with Win10 - Disable display scaling on high DPI settings,
which is necessary with a number of games on Win10, and which Win10 will select whether it's needed or not
(and whether you like it or not), on many more.
Oddly, more often than not, the games that don't load, or have other issues due to high DPI settings get overlooked
by Win10 automated compatibility checker (I use a DPI of 120%, so this issue is quite prevalent on my Win10).
If I don't use the DPI setting the game has problems in the menus (the logo on launch is also off center).
I may just be lucky, or maybe I have not played far enough into the game. I've had the game for a few years,
but never got into it and have only played 15min into the game.
So maybe corrupt saves can affect how well the game plays in full screen or with Frame Buffering enabled ?
